I wonder if it could have been for preparing arrow shafts - (native manufacture )
 

Sure is an interesting looking piece of stone, no idea though.

I don't know, looks like it slips onto something. Neat looking stone. The other finds are cool too!
 

Might have been a child's tomahawk - shaft scrapers were usually made of flint. I would find them in Ohio cornfields.

I saw one similar in Texas that was labeled as a "fulcrum toy"
 

oh wait...maybe not a shaft scraper...but don't they have a shaft straightener...lets see what google has...
