Could this be jade? Horse figurine.

Picked this up for $5, thought I'd take a chance on it. Sorta looks like jade but then again I have no idea, I don't deal with jade really... Thoughts on it?

Looks like it could be, very light.

That could be jadeite or nephrite. Still learning how to tell from pictures. Looks more modern than antique to me though I can say for sure that if it does check out, it is going to be worth a pretty penny!

How did you come up with the age of the Jade Horse? I always buy stuff that looks like that then think Pier Imports. Thanks

As long as the price is right, any jade pendant that has a gold clasp I buy. I have a few now, but have no idea how to value to them.

Actually, the amazing one is the one that Gib posted, it sold at Christie’s in London for £50,000.

It looks to be Onyx. Jade is a bit more waxy in appearance.
