Hello everyone. I hope this thread finds you well. Anyway I bought a Detect-Ed shaft for my nox800. And I machined a rear fitting for the shaft so that I can screw on a counter balance like the ones offer by the other brand (can’t remember it’s name).
So my question to you is: how much weight do you all have in your counter balance? And how far back is it suspended beyond the rear of the shaft? Pics would also be appreciated. Thank you.

Also, just a quick note: I didn’t know about Steve’s Detector Rods until after I bought the one I have. So me adding a counter balance is purely diy for myself. I have no intentions on horning in on Steve’s business or selling the adapters I made.
I just had my forth back surgery, so I’m just looking to make things as comfortable as possible.

Make it adjustable so you can match it to the weight of whatever coil you use.
