I found this at an old park. It feels like lead. Any ideas? The reverse is the same as a Merc dime.

Odd. Why counterfeit a dime? I know a dime was worth a lot more back then but it seems like a lot of work on something like that for little return. Regardless, nice find.

I remember carnivals having aluminum or pot metal mercs as prizes but they were usually bigger than a dime

Thanks for the replies. It doesn’t feel like aluminum and I can kind of scratch away at it.

I think Joe-Dirt is right on with his answer.
