Grabbed a couple more cool ones yesterday.

1. Really old cologne or perfume I am thinking, super defined open pontil. Really nice detail in embossing with lion on front. Any ideas on origin or date, I was thinking late 1700s

2. Another heartbreaker, this makes my 3rd SC soda bottle hall of fame I have found here with a broken neck. Cosgrove & Kernan Chas SC Soda Water, Nice iron pontil and really nice opaque blue color

What are you guys thoughts on rarity vs damage as far as desirability or value. How much damage is to much and renders a bottle invaluable. Sucks coming so close, regardless i am a Chas native so I love them damaged or not.

Thanks

Oh my goodness.......

Sorry about your soda, again.

I think that the cologne would fetch more than the soda here, since there's more there and it's so unique, but you never know.

Beautiful. Keep 'em coming.

Love that cologne bottle :icon_thumright:

Beauty, 1820-50....

Without the damage to the lip I'd think the cologne could bring $2-250, more with a flared lip. I'd think less than $100 with the lip damage unfortunately, hopefully someone who collects them will chime in....

Both are definitely heartbreakers. Sucks to find damaged pieces like that. Keep looking and don't give up.
