Got out this morning for a walk up the trail. The usual stuff like ammo was abundant. Found an old buggy hub I believe. A plow share. My first "coin" signals were late model stuff, a Jefferson nickle and Memorial cent. Then got a strong hit showing 65-67 and solid. Dug a coin like object and it had me going for a bit. Bigger than a quarter and heavy...turned into a lead slug...:BangHead:
I just wandered the old trail and did not really hit anything hard but found a Harmonica reed, a reins guide or maybe just a ring bolt. On the way back got a strong 95 signal and turned up a nice old trigger guard. Not a bad hunt for me! Good luck ya'll!

Sure looks like a reins guide to me! Good find!

I hate lead slugs! That's happened to me a few times. You think you've found something old and cool, and then WHAMMO....turns out to be crap. Better luck next time.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Yeah, it came out a little gold colored because of clay and had me fetching a mag glass to check for detail. Nada...and then my thumbnail scratched the surface...

Cool relics, congrats! :icon_thumleft:
