Iv'e been busy more with building a little shed for a newly acquired riding lawn mower than detecting last few days. Yesterday an old buddy called up we got to talking and he said I should come up to a few farms he has been working on. So my Deus was calling me anyhow, I put the tools away and shot up to check out the first farm house yard. It was by far the most trashiest place I have passed a coil over. I got a phone call while I was digging gears, washers and other pieces of trash I had to leave. I was there two and a half hours with a stinking Lincoln my only coin. There are fields there with beans in them and two nearby other farms. Today my buddy was at a different spot, another huge farm with standing corn, I did the house the 94 year old Veteran of Normandy grew up in. He also owns a church built in 1890, that was where I found the 1972 Dollar and two IHC (1899, and 1905) There was a piece of cork in the shaker, I'm headed up tomorrow to try out another farm house yard.

This is what went through my head, big heavy coin, ooh, old copper, no wait, it's clad---- haaaaaaa
I have found one silver Peace Dollar, it came out of the ground gleaming.

I can't wait to get in those corn fields.

Thank you, just when you think you've seen everything?

Nicely done. You have to keep going til you hit paydirt. The Indian Head Pennies would have motivated me to keep going.
Congrats on your finds.

I don't know about you, but when I dug my first Eisenhower, I was SO excited when I saw the size, I just KNEW that I had a Morgan, and I was very disappointed when it was a clad...
However, I think the shaker is great! IHPs look like they will clean up nicely too! That's a good day! HH

That salt shaker bears a striking resemblance to a guy I know named Brad!

Don't make me post a pic.

Congrats in the IHCs and the Ike dollar. I hope that you are doing well.
