It’s my favorite bird. I have one blue bird house up in my yard and a pair had 3 broods in it this year. 5 of those left came back to visit the other day lined up on the fence and taking their time at the bird bath. Your picture is special! Thank you for posting it!

That's the craziest thing about this family of bluebirds. They come back each year and nest in exactly the same place.

We have an old "meter loop" that used to connect to a trailer on this property before I purchased it. The power company disconnected the power and pulled their meter which left about a 10" opening facing north. These birds come back ... or maybe it's the offspring of the previous year's residents ... every year.
