I did manage to get out today for a few. Hot, but not ridiculous.

I found a couple of buttons which I naturally assume are american, can anyone help with an ID ? as I know nothing about them' Got to say though that I am quite happy with the finds as they are both firsts.

The site is old for sure, and close to water. My ID tells where I am, so the rest should be easy for someone ?

Thanks.
and good luck out there.

Cool buttons, I'm not any kind of button expert, but the one on the right looks old, really old.....................HH

Thanks Gunrunner,
"Really old" ? well like I said I was in a really old type of site...?

I will try to get some king of backmark if there is one under the dirt, and see where we go from there.

As I mentioned both firsts so quite happy with the finds regardless. (still nice to know though)

The one on the left is a US general service button. It is no older than WWI. The one on the right looks like it has quite a bit more age. Maybe 1812 time frame. Hopefully someone can help ya more on that one

Cool buttons.. Can you get a backmark on the one of the right.. I looked for the older buttons in Albert's Button book but didn't see this one...
