Couple of finds

I found this in one of my areas...different than other stone in the area and very polished! Its a bit pecked on the tapered side too...just hard to capture a pic of it. It’s just small...maybe an herb grinder for medicinals? What do y’all think? I’m 99%sure the mortar is a geofact...same area but it looks naturally worn to me. Maybe it was picked up and brought there because it was a perfect natural mortar? I also found what I think is a little piece of cinnabar, which was used for making dyes and pigments.
