Central Iowa
Found these last weekend in two different creeks within a mile or two of each other in the city in central Iowa. Flooding has been good to me. Hopefully the rivers will be down enough to hunt soon, doubt it. Happy hunting.

Nice little side notch. Is it archaic or one of those seemingly thousands of types of late period 'true arrowheads' they find on the high plains and related areas?

Archaic, no late period artifacts here. This was found in the city that is been here for a long time. Foung other archaic points in the same creek as well as a clovis. :)

Looks like a big sandy to me. A very old nice one. Love to see that clovis if you still have it.
What thousands of similiar later types are you talking about targe?

Here is my clovis. The smaller ear looks like it may have been used as an engraving tool, it is worked. I was also told that the tip has an impact flute.

Great points. That clovis is sweet. :icon_thumright:

Nice, I love seeing that Iowa stuff, especially creek finds. You going to show at the Keosaqua on Sept 12th?
