Had to do a little shopping in Reno today and was not in a hurry to get home so I stopped at an old fishin spot and walked some of the old Boca and Loyalton RR Grade. Just enjoying the day, looking for eyeball finds and scouting for some beach hunting later this summer.

Snapped a pic and low and behold momma and her fawn walked out of the bushes.

The bottom of the last pic shows to old RR grade. Not much left after 100+ years of man and mother nature but with a little diligence you can still find the the old right of way.

Enjoy
Steve

Nice work bro ! Yes I can easily see the grade . I have for some years now been tracking the route of the old T&Tthat is the Tonapah and Tidewater RR. Please keep me abreast of your progress ! . Hoss

Well Hoss,
I am very familiar with the T&T. In fact, I own a piece of rolling stock from that RR.
Old RRoads and Ghost towns seem to go hand in hand in Nevada.
Heres a few pics

looks lovely. :coffee2:

Very beautiful pics. I like how you captured the fawn and its mother. I hope you find a cache of Morgans here.

Got lucky with the pics. They were there for just a couple of minutes.

Probably not a cache where I was, but in the old ruins of Boca there could be one. Unfortunatley, the town is a historical area and you know what that means.
I am sure that town was hit hard back in the day.

Thanks

Beautiful photos. They make me want to grab a fishing rod, hop into the SUV and drive up there right NOW. Thanks for sharing.

Come on up!
If you ever get a wild hair up your you know what and need some time away from home, drop me a pm and we can get together.
Just happens we are heading up north for two days tomorrow. Tams schedule changed and we have an opportunity to get to our favorite place to watch the meteor showers. We hope there isi,nt anyone else there with the same idea.

We might not head south this Sept. (Sorry Hoss) but make a N. coast trip instead. When we decide I will let you know if we are going to be in your area.

Hope things are going well with you
Thanks
Steve
