First one feels like brass, fairly light with a small hole through it, maybe a tab from something. Found at about 2" in hard, rockly soil.

Second item is also light and thin, lots of holes, can't really tell what's it's made of. For that matter, I'm not really confident that it's even from the CW-period. Found at about 4" in relatively loose soil.

Any thought, suggestions, or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Quicksilver beat me to it!! My sister wore haircurlers like that when I was a kid. Tony

If the brass piece is broken on the narrow end, it might be part of a pocket knife.
