Nice hoof pestle it was the first pestle I ever found has a real nice notch in the top for your fingers. I found this pestle on my grandfathers farm. the other one I think might be a roller pestle
it was found in Ross County, Ohio it was found in a real productive field were I had found alot ofpoints, and stone tools.

Very nice! I have only found two pestles, both "hoof" style. By the way, I believe your pestle is more of a "bell" style than "hoof". Many are made of brown quartzite like yours, both of the ones I found are. I love pestles for some reason. Great job on the find

Choo, yours does look like a bell pestle to me, but either way it's a nice one.

Lostlake, I love the clovis in your i.d.

Way to go. Some of the ones I get lucky and find are called Acorn pestles.. Go figure. Nice pestle.

Thanks. Personal find from a little over a year ago. Now that I have you on the line, I am flabergasted by some of your posts, truly some awesome central american relics I see occasionally from you.
