I haven't gotten to get out to much lately but still ended up with a couple nice rings these past two weekends. A 14k white gold, 14k yellow gold and two metal rings.

I've never been able to get out to the ocean yet with my detector but I really want to, it looks like the guys that hit the ocean beaches really tear it up and get an unreal amount of jewelry!! I've found all my rings in a river up the road from my house, lots of people tube it in the summers and lose quite a bit

Nice finds.
Good for you.

Great finds, congrats!

It looks to me like you a really tearing it up where you are at!
Why not focus on learning all you can and honing your skills on home turf.
Other places will always look better elsewhere - that's the nature of the beast.
Not many people brag about a ho hum day or meager finds.
The time to travel, other than for new adventure or variety, is after you have exhausted your hunting grounds.
Then you have no choice but to try your luck elsewhere.
Even then I would periodically revisit my old hunting grounds after they have had time
to replenish with new deposits or favorable changes in river conditions.

Nice finds. Beach hunters really get spoiled :) it's amazing how much gold and plat is lost in the water. So glad I got into detecting in the salt water as it has made the hobby so amazing.
