Took my lunch, went to the only bank that sells me bags... got $35 worth of nickels, and $230 worth of dimes. Nickels didn't have jack, dimes had one lonely '64. Stopped by a Wells Fargo on my way back home (I work from home) and picked up a box of dimes and nickels, as well as $96 in Ikes. Teller informed me she has $400+ dollars in halves (BWR's) so I'll be picking those up Friday. Box of nickels was a skunk, with lots of rolls that had low-MS or AU '60's that were just ugly. And these rolls were packed with them. Probably half the box consisted of ugly '61-'70 nickels. The box of dimes produced another lonely Roosie. The ikes look to be fairly nice, nothing earth-shattering, although I did find a '72-D that looks like it was struck on a proof planchet, which makes sense as San Fran kicked rejected proof planchets to Denver for their use. Oh, and there was the little surprise that salvaged my day... A '72 T2! It's also the rarer of the two dies, being the "March" variety, estimated at around 20k pieces minted on the lower side, with an upper max of around 100k pieces. Given the scarcity of the March coins (I've now found 10 T2's, and only two are March's) I'm inclined to say it's probably closer to the 20k mintage.

Take a looks at the earth on the reverse. It's a type 2 Ike if the islands below Florida look to be carved into the coin instead I raised.

Can someone explain what the "March" variety of the Eisenhower Type 2 is?
