Crete. Anybody detected there?

[rebbel31]

Headed to Crete for a 10 day vacation. Wondering if anyone has done any detecting there, and if so what was their experience. Would like to at least skim the beach. Thanks for any input.

I believe metal detecting is legal in Greece but your detector needs a license issued by the Greek Ministry of Culture. For detecting on beaches you would also need to get a permit from the mayor.
