It's really amazing how our life adventures and time change our perspectives. I can remember a time when "The Andy Griffith Show" did nothing but portray small town Southerners as wide eyed bumpkins. Now, if I watch an episode, I can see how the show actually promotes morals and have subliminal teachings that we can all respect in today's cruel world. Trust, honesty and the love of family, friends and neighbors were part of the "bumpkin" culture and I miss that.

Now that's funny........ Story time- I actually had an Aunt Bea. Growing up in Florida she came to see us one time with those fancy Rv's. she lived in Texas. I was completely amazed, and bewildered at this house on wheels. So I asked"Aunt Bea what are the payments on something like this?" "On honey, she replied, I don't buy anything I can't pay cash for". Later I got thorough scolding for asking such a question. Years later I was driving thru Texas and decided to stop and see my Aunt Bea . She was fine and her husband said come in here to the garage I want to show you something......... And there in mint condition sat one of the first 10 Cadillacs produced !!!!!!!!!!! But they sure were sweet people

I would never call animal control if we had kill shelters. But animal control showed up and recognized the dog as a habitual escape artist. Name was pippers and is now on her way home...
