Got out for about 4 hours over the past few days. We had a hard freeze but it has warmed up above freezing and I was able to dig the lower part of this field. This is not a black and white photo, LOL, it looks like an ugly day with a little rain but was great for detecting.

Some iron, 3 rings, 2 ox shoes, coffee tin and a bullet casing.

A lead wing and 3 pistol balls. I grid the area where I found the wing but that was the only piece.

Two buckles and a large harmonica piece.

A few relics. Two WWII German military buttons, two bronze rings, a pin from the choir or singing club from a small local town and a parasol ring.

Close up of the pin.

Obverse of three coins, 1877, 1924 and 1897.

Obverse of an interesting crown, 5cm/2” wide. Maybe a Prussian cap badge, I have not researched it yet.

Reverse of the crown, looks to have had 4 mounting pins and a few traces of gold plating. HH, Mike

I'd call that crown and buckle a good day. Snow, I'm not so sure about. :-\

WTG Mike, I also like the crown and that is a nice complete Knee buckle! Your field photo looks like it does here right now, it must have snowed earlier this morning, enough to cover most of the grass and the driveway is slick as all heck, and now it is a very cold drizzle, light rain on top of the snow, YUCK> Glad you got out to detect, despite the conditions. :icon_thumleft:

yeap, that was worth going out for :icon_thumright:

I'll just pretend it's all white sand. Nice finds for being out there for 4 hrs. :icon_thumright:

Not even the cold and snow is going to stop the serious treasure hunter!!! It looks like you found a piece of a Angels wing.......... WTG

Nice stuff. I am jealous. I was stationed there twenty years ago but did not start metal detecting until I came back to the states. happy New year
