Cru'dads Solo Hunt - Good short hunt!

Dad was on his own for 2.5 hours whilst I caught up on some research & paperwork. I also need to rest up my arms before they drop-off.:tongue3:

This stuff was off 'the' Hill & it was Dads first try, so he had no clue where to start (His first signal was the hammered!);

1606 Sixpence - Better than my one I had on Friday. (Funny how we got the same date, these are not that common):dontknow:
15th C Chaffing Dish Handle Terminal - Beast Head
18th C Lead-alloy Button
He wins the largest Trade Weight

It was the last chance this year, as this field will be drilled tomorrow.

Very nice finds! I most certainly will probably not ever find any of those items around here!!! Thanks for sharing the pictures, I enjoyed checking them out!

You might get the pan/trade weight. Although it is crazy large for a remote field find!

The head thing is pretty cool find.
Congrats on the hammered, I'd say old, maybe not so much for you guys, considering how old of coins you do come up with.

Awesome finds!

Very nice hammered silver!

Not the oldest, but we don't get too many of them.

Nice hunt, the hammered is in fine shape for sure, were they close to each other in the field?
That's a huge weight for sure.

No, completely different fields, at least 12 minutes walk away.

The Sixpence was a nice coin! This time coins started to be more detailled again. Congrats to Crudad!

UPDATE:

Cleaned up Dads cast iron weight. I think its Victorian, but I'm awaiting a full ID.

What does the 21b stand for? It cleaned up really nice, and it'll be interesting to here back on the ID of this weight.

Its the weight 2 lbs (pounds) = 0.90Kg

That makes sense and I had thought of that also, but it was the b that threw me off. Must be a British thing that never made it here. :laughing7: That or we haven't caught up yet....
