Found this 2 years ago with no positive ID. Found pics of items that looked similar but not this small.

It looks like a more recent decorative pin, based on a Confederate belt plate. Better photos would help with a more definite ID though. Cool find!

Yes it does look to new. I thought it might have been worn by reenactment person. Found in front yard of local home.
