csa artillery projectiles

???I found 2 ea. CSA era cannon projectiles last week. One is 3 inches in diameter and solid cast iron. The other is a bullet shaped projectile 7 inches long and 3 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch brass band near the base. It has a 1/2 inch hole in the rear. The whole thing is out of cast iron. These were found on my place in southeast Alabama. I assume they are CSA since this was a strong hold for us Rebs.
Does anyone have any info as to what they are or are not??? ???

We would love to see some pictures. :) I used to hunt in Spanish Fort . Lots of history lost there due to housing developments. :-\

;D Yes. Only the point is more like a bullet and solid on the end. It has a brass ban at the rear which is about 1/2 inch wide and about 2 inches from the end.
 

Birdman, I will be posting a pic of a find from the location we discussed down Fort Morgan. Keep your eyes open.
