cufflink with eagle

Able to catch a few minutes to go out today. Found this I think its a cufflink made out of brass. Hard to tell from the pic but I can make out an eagle on the front. Any guess's on age. Thanks

Can't guess on age, but it's a great find! Looks like the remains of gold plate on it.
