spotting these all the way back to 1 Wheatie. they appear like glitter over entire surface & rim. coppers & zincolns with color between brassy to gold with details nearly obscured by the "micro" bumps & valleys.

no eye deer --- is this considered an "error" :dontknow::dontknow:

First look appears to be acid or sand blasted. Definitely not an error!

They look like dug pennies that have been cleaned in a tumbler. Looks like environmental damage from being in the ground?

as the "KING" of dug pennies, I can't rule this out, but, I find assorted copper & zinc cents with this "texture" in boxes along with zincs having the "woodgrain" uniform slanted pattern lines on both sides without "gas" bubbles. they are eye catching as light reflects off the luster :tongue3:.

still feelin' a bit giddy after sellin' this pretty :dog:

Two boxes of cents for one cent. Gotta love it. This was the non-attributed cud, correct?

YUP, can't find a similar of this variety. my buyer is a CUD-aholic, grabbed a bunch of my finds over past few years. a COLLECTOR who will never sell his treasures :occasion14:

That was just my 2 cents worth. Not sure what to think about it.
