Do a Google search on "elk ring" and see what you think.

I think you are right and it probably is an elk, but I can't find anything remotely close to it. :dontknow: Any more hints?

The ring could be from Europe, looks like it could be a Red Deer stag design from Germany.

90 to indicate silver content (coin silver) :icon_scratch:
it's a beauty and likely custom

Nice Ring...90 could mean the amount of them made, perhaps in the class

I was pleased to come across this post as i also own a ring marked the same way(mine on side, topic on bottom?)and have found NO history, research, etc.on maker/origin...So i decided to share.HH ALL !!!
Beading around top similar, mine is smaller&tighter(it look's that way from pic's)mine was sold as "art-deco" design(not period, although i believe it IS deco-era)i liked the ring&bought it on epay. The moss agate is very nice,11.5g.I believe 90 to mean coin silver/900 as mentioned above

The 90 may indicate where it was made. English and US and probably Canada use .925 or Sterling. A lot of the indian work is stamped coin silver, as their source of silver was coins. Perhaps the 90 is more european. Mexico?
