Metal Detecting
Hi, been a member for about six months now and this is my first post. I am new to metal detecting and treasure hunting, but put a ton of hours on my AT Pro since October. Last hunt was MLK day 2015....hit the beach because the ground is too frozen to dig. I had a great year finding silver, colonial buttons, and perhaps my best find to date a 1719 half farthing, that is very, very toasted and only identifiable by shadowy outlines. I love hunting around old stone walls, colonial sites, and finding Americana relics. I should take this opportunity to thank Keith123 for ensuring that I am addicted to this hobby by loaning me his backup machine, patiently explaining how to operate it, and taking me to a good place to hunt. I currently spend most of my free time detecting, cleaning relics, and wishing I was out hunting (when the weather is too nasty). I am looking forward to learning from the decades of collective experience that the members of this site have.

Welcome to the forum! Here in Massachusetts we are accumulating a lot of the white stuff. Good Luck (it appears you do not need it) in 2015!
