This weekend's CW relic hunt was highlighted with the find of the silver cob that I've already posted....but the CW finds were great as well. I spent two full sun-up to sun-down days digging and when I was done the bullets filled my tailgate and I had a bag of fragments to take home. One of the fragments is pretty cool with the fuse being intact and perfectly centered. I dug a couple of deep bullet holes that had a bunch of bullets and percussion caps, one had 37 bullets. I spent an hour in that hole looking for a plate without finding one. I ended up with 194 bullets along with one eagle button and a couple of j-hooks. This was one of my favorite relic hunts ever.--JB

Super!!! Congrats!!!

:notworthy:

I'd love to get into a big lead patch

Wow what great day you had! That frag with the fuze is really unique. What type of site was this? Encampment, skirmish site? Congrats on all the awesome saves!

Awesome job! I bet your pants almost fell off carrying that lead in your pouch.

That sir, is a good day!

There was some pretty heavy fighting that moved across this property. I have hunted the adjoining property for several years with the same types of relics being found there.....but there were many more dropped bullets here.

I made several trips to the truck...they are very heavy now that they are in one plastic container.

Fantastic run of lead!!!! Wow

Nice haul of bullets, &c!
