I searched a box of quarters and I got just one 1944 Silver Quarter.

What is the average per box?

ive done very few boxes and gotten no silver...sorry, wish i could help give u an average tho, but for me its 0% :laughing9:
i have a question tho if u dont mind, do u get the nf string rolls, in the boxes w/ holes in the top? and are they from brinks loomis etc.??? thanks in advance :)

I did a $500 box and found nothing. I got really lucky though the next week on a road trip. I picked up $200 in string rolls taken from a box and they produced 2 silver quarters.

I'd say you got pretty lucky though. I read somewhere that the average was about 1 silver quarter every $2000.

You did good!

That's above average. :icon_thumleft:

I'd say 1 silver per 5 boxes maybe. Quarters are seriously hard.

My last 20 boxes over the last few months have gave up none so I quit getting them mostly. Yesterday however I had to take a box and no surprise I got none again. HH Mark

For silver in quarter boxes I think JasonB is right, about 1 silver in every 5 boxes. Quarters are the toughest of all denominations to get silver in (well, other than pennies :laughing7:)

ChainChomp, I get boxes and the supplier is Garda. No wholes but closed boxes. Most of the time
I just ask for see through rolls (plastic rolls) and the teller lets me take a look with out buying the rolls. I have found some silver this way. Half's are getting harder to find or dump.

I have searched 2 boxes of quarters and got one silver in each a 1959 and 1944.

Hope this helps.

Thank you all for replying.

Its funny ive gotten 4 quartes in about 22 boxes but ive gotten 2 silver quarters in change from drive thrus, 2 from the ground metal detecting, and 1 on the floor near a coin counter. I wouldnt use any of that info for statistics.
