Dating projectiles.

Reading the most recent article on “The History Blog” The History Blog

Of interest to me is the fact that the article states that the human remains were dated to 1250BC by an arrowhead embedded into a bone. Are there certain styles of arrowheads that were only used for very brief periods of time? A limited enough period to come up with an accurate enough date that would match radiocarbon dating?

In short, pretty much "yes" in answer to your question. There are generic types that aren't date/era identifiers, but in many cases, particular people living in particular places at particular times made particular point types.

This may be the projectile they used for dating.
