Good news the rain was not as bad as yesterday. Bad news it was a fruitless 4 hours. But it was as expected & we have now completed section 2. Section 3 is on a sloop & has a very old footpath cutting across it.

The biggest buckle is the largest I have had, even bigger than my hand.

2 scrappy roman coins
musket ball
bag seal

The capbadge which is badly damaged is a WWI era - Royal Flying Corp before it became the Royal Air Force. Shame it wasn't whole as I gave my only example to an interested farmer. :P

At least I'm slowing crossing this field off the list which is always a good thing.

pretty cool finds, the old biplanes were something else .

I'm still waiting for you to dig up a tank or an old messerschmidt.

The closest I have come is a US Phantom

that huge buckle is absolute proof that giants did indeed build stonehenge. well maybe not but pretty cool finds anyway.
