Day 2 at my new spot

Went back out to my new spot very early this morning as I wanted to hit several spots there, the place is huge. Anyway, I got 3 more buttons, including on general service in great shape with a full shank, a concave flatty and a tiny one that has a design on it that I can’t make out. I also found what looks like a knee buckle ( please chime in) a copper name plate for something (F. Pratt) a chunk of a bell and other assorted crappola.

Also, anyone have an idea what the big brass thing is? It was a foot down, still has leather attached.

That’s a good day. Nice buckle and buttons. The other piece, not sure. I’m sure everyone’s first instinct is harness and tack related because of the leather. I’ll look through some old tack catalog sites I have saved, see if it pops up.

Closest thing I can find in the catalogues I have is a team pad (collar) piece. But it’s not exact and probably not related.
