Now the ground had dried over night we went to Barley field 4. On the first day we scouted the field & Dad mapped it with the GPS. I knew where I wanted to start, Dad wasn't sure, but what happened next neither of us could have guessed. I had put him on a row which went bang, bang, bang!

Three digs & 3 keepers in a row, straight off the bat!
Silver Sixpence 1877 :)
Early Victorian Military Button (New variant, still to ID) :)
Silver Shilling 1891 :)
3 digs & 2 silver :o I have never had a start like that! Yeah, first dig nice silver but not followed by another 2 hits!! Then he finished the day with a 1697 Sixpence. 3 Silver in 1 day!

We did 5 hours (10 man hours effort)

Condition were bumpy & tough but the Cortes did it again for me with a tiny hammered Silver (Henry III Long Cross) ;D

3 Scrappy romans & bits. A good day which we needed after not much yesterday!

Great coins and other finds!
I like the little buckle on the right side
middle of the second photo!

Silver machines you guys are!

I've done it twice, two early silver from back to back holes. Now I can't find one in a row! :D

18th century knee buckle.

That William sixpence would be a good dig here. Anything earlier than bullhead Geo. is usually Spanish.

Its a pretty good dig here in that condition. Normally worn smooth.
