Hi again!
Well, today is day two of my vacation time and I started the day off great! I went back to the place where I dug the 1935-S silver 25c & 10c yesterday ~ those two targets were the last two targets that I dug yesterday. Today I get there and dig a memorial cent first ~ then the second target was a 1944-S Washington Quarter! And then my 3rd dig was a 1946-D Rosie Dime! SO, in the last five digs I dug four silver coins! WOOHOO!!!
After a few more minutes I walked a couple blocks down the street to Minnie Washburne Memorial Park. Yesterday there was no less than 150 people there playing and sunbathing ~ I figured I could find some gold or silver jewelry! After digging several deep pull tabs I dug a 1936-S Mercury dime at no less than 7 inches deep! It actually didn't come in that great on my XLT ~ I was expecting just another deep pull tab!
I did manage to find a couple small silver earrings and a small silver ring that was cut ~ but no gold. It was before noon and I had dug three silver coins and three silver jewelry items ~ I figured it was a successful day, so I headed home. I'm sure there will be more there to find next time! Here's what all I dug today:
1944-S Silver 25c
1936-S Silver dime
1946-D Silver dime
1940-S Wheat cent
5 clad quarters
3 clad dime
9 modern nickels
14 memorial cents
2 silver earings (one marked "STER.")
1 silver ring (cut)
These silver coins are #25, #26, & #27 for the year. I took pic's of them before and after I cleaned 'em up!
This is the best Silver to Wheat ratio that I've ever dug ~ three silvers and only one Wheat! I've got 10 silver coins and 77 wheat cents for the month.
Thanks for looking!
Neil
