DAY 2

[CRUSADER]

Crusaderdad scouted out this field yesterday, now the team is systematically searching it. Steady start with a Elizabeth I Halfgroat hammered silver coin. I'm not expecting much until day 5 (lets see if I'm right ) This field has produced well in the past & its been deep ploughed this year.

The better finds were:

1 scrappy Roman
1 Gaming token (dated 1791) probably produced slightly later.
Nice complete cica 1300 spur buckle
Watch winder
Early cica 1800 pewter/lead alloy military button

See picture of me detecting (well pretending anyway), its for a poster adverting my coming display at work with other hobbies as well. The large Oak tree is the turn around point for our runs in this field (start of the run some way behind the camera)

The people looking at the picture won't know that, as I said wasn't actually detecting. We were going the other way but I turn around & did a couple of swings for the camera.

PS. As you know I never use earphones & nor does Dad
