Primary Interest:
Beach & Shallow Water Hunting
On day 1, I went to Rock beach and found a bunch of fishing weights and coins, but no silver or gold. On day 2, I went to a sanded popular section of the same beach and didn’t find many targets but did find a 10k gold band and silver ring. On day 3, I decided to return to Rock beach given all the fishing weights and coins – I was not disappointed. Bad back be Damned!

In the 4 hr hunt, I found a 14k yellow gold band (6.23g) that rang-up a VID of 47 with a very tight center spot. I knew it would be a clunker given the VID of 47. Other then coins and large amount of push-tabs, no fishing weights or any other jewelry. Not complaining…

At gold running around $5,000/oz, the band is a cool $570.00. Guess not bad for 4 hrs of back breaking rock digging. Where’s my heating pad...

Happy Hunting
