Did an early morning hunt from 0900 until 12:15. Still frozen frostie ground but a lovely bright day with little wind.

4 scrappy romans - good total for this field
Silver plated spoon, I got the bowl, Dad got the handle.
17th century clothes clasp (hook missing)
16th century 'Knights of the Holy Sepulchre' brass cross 8)
Nice late Med. buckle with replacement pin

I got two silver sixpences (cica 1690s) bent into Love tokens. Both times I thought I had a hammered :P Funny thing is on day 3 (see below) I had a 1696 sixpence and made a comment about the rest I had being love tokens & now I get two more ::)

Now on 39 roman bronzes this year so on target to beat last years total.

Crooked sixpences, really cool
The cross is sweet too.

I am amazed of what you find in the ground over there. And jealous of the UK's treasure trove laws. So much more fair than what we have here.

I can just see that cross on a shield being carried across a field by a knight ready to do battle. very cool find indeed.

thank you for sharing.

Great finds. I wish we had the OLD relics and coins here you have. Congrats on another awesome hunt.
