First I not only got to MEET SoreKnees and Jeff, but I was able to enjoy a real sit down meal, with real live adult conversation. I didn't have to cut anyone's food or remind them to quit paying with the toy and Please EAT!

That alone was a joy. Thanks guys

Then we headed out my way and went to the apple orchard, the tornado dump zone. Today was the first time it disappointed me. Although I found a 74 memorial, a bottle cap, and a hex nut. The other two found more interesting, albeit still skunk items. We called that one quits, but at least it was still sunshine and fresh country air.

Next we headed to my local tot lot. It's only been there a couple of years and isn't very large. The first thing I managed to do was walk through the field, get to the playground and realize I forgot my shovel. SIGH. OC it's all mulch so who really needs it. OC the first signal I hit on was 6" down and after a couple inches of mulch I hit dirt. I then said, "of course, and I forgot my shovel." I keep digging with my shoe and out pops a garden trowel. I KID YOU NOT !! LOL!

I laughed, looked skyward and said, " OK GOD, now I forgot my diamond ring."

Three swings later.........well OK it's NOT a diamond and it's not silver or gold, showing the Almighty has a grand sense of humour. It's who knows what over whatever the metal of the day was, with a little round mirror crystal stone in it. Think metal gumball class ringish.

OC I do have White's VDI display envy now. Grrrrrrrrr.

Maybe you needed to be a little more specific on the ring you "lost" lol

Your subject line is correct - that shovel/trowel is a hoot!

Hope the rest of your day was at least as much fun

The mistake was asking GOD. St. Anthony is the patron saint of lost articles. His prayer goes like this:

Tony Tony look around, somethings lost and must be found (then say the name of the article). Bongo

Congratulations, now you have two digging tools.
Leon

I will keep Bongo's prayer in mind the next time I go out.

What good luck. Lets just hope you dont ever
forget your batteries. Jim.
