I stopped in at this site again for 2 hours after work yesterday. It has already produced more silver than I expected by far. The second visit shoved me straight into lala land in no time at all. I decided to get the camera out and take a chance. I didnt get pictures of everything coming out of the ground, but I took a few here and there to try and share the experience. Yes I will have to figure out what was here in the past because there are just to many silver here to have only been residence. What I do know is I am having a blast at this site. Prepare yourself for what you are about to see!!! The tally for day two is as follows.
1889 indian....1908 indian....1905 barber dime....1906 barber dime....1914-D barber dime.....1920-D merc.....
1918-S merc.....1920-S merc.....1939-S merc.......1912 barber quarter......1942 silver washington......1948-D silver washington, 9 memorial pennies, 9 wheaties and one clad dime and quarter

I still can't get over: a) how good that 1914 Barber looks; and b) the aggregate gang of great old silver that you pulled up in one flippin' day!!

What kind of site do you think it was 'back when'? 1920 Carnival / fairgrounds?

My VFW Bingo partner Harriet gave me 3 coins yesterday that "didn't make the cut" when she sold her late husband's coins to a noted local coin dealer. One of them is a really nice 1905 Indian. She boosted my I.H. tally by 25%, and I didn't even have to dig.

I'll watch here and 'over there' for any further developments on your dream site. I tole you this big-time stuff needed to be on T-net! Congrats again on a stupendous hunt / site / experience.

Great finds!!!!!!! love that silver...

Sweet!! Lots of Barber coins and three silver quarters!! Nice collection of coins!!

That 1914 looks awesome. I dig it!

Dang, I get excited over my first barber and you snag 3 in one day! Plus a quarter and several IHs! Way to go!

From the condition of the coins, I'd guess the site dated from around 1915. Maybe the early 20's. Congrats on those nice finds!
