Hi folks,
First, can't believe we can still dig in Dec.
I went back to my lucky alfalfa field Sat. and gridded for a bit more. No keepers but eyeballed my first (broken) arrowhead, so I was happy! On Sunday I started on my friend's centennial farm. I try not to get my hopes up too high when starting a new site, but I was disappointed to find no old coins. I dug my oldest dog tag, 1927, which beat my oldest by 30 years, so that was sweet. I'll be back for more gridding for sure, as I was rather hurried on the back yard. The front yard used to be bigger but was shortened when they widened the road. Anyways, my friend knew lots of the history about her house including where all the old structures (pigpen, privy, etc.) used to stand.
