Re: December 2009 totals. Better than November?

Really great totals Mojo. How in the world do you guys find the time to pick up and dump those large amounts? It's all I can do to pick up a couple boxes a week, then find time to dump them the same week! ffd

Mojo, your totals are really astounding. Did you get those halves from the boxes or from road trips? If all boxes that's like a 10+/box average. And I second wondering how some of you have the time for the quantity. Then again I suppose people wonder how I have the time to do all the stuff I do too. Just a matter of perspective.

Good work sir.

Good work sir.

I was treated to a trip down memory lane at the end of November and beginning of December. I somehow lucked onto what appeared to be an old pallet of coins. My guess is mid 90's because none of the coins out of those boxes were dated beyond 1996 with most of the ones in the 90's looking like new. The other thing is that the bulk of the 40%'s that I pulled were pretty dirty and seemed to be well circulated. over 200 keepers came in the first week of Dec. Then I started getting the newer boxes again. It was fun while it lasted. Some of the boxes were producing as many as 30 keepers. but in the last 3 weeks the old boxes have dried up and now I'm back to 1 - 5 per box with many skunks in between.

I only did boxes the last half of December and only pulled off a couple of road trips in early Dec. I did pull six solid rolls on Dec. 1st adventure. But it was overshadowed by other bigger posts that day.

Yesterdays haul for 4 boxes was 5 40%'s 3 boxes were total skunks.

Oh yeah, I did read about those boxes you were getting. Wasn't there an associated conspiracy theory? Haha, oh well, like you said, get it while the gettin's good, right? Nice totals.

AWESOME PHOTOS   good month you had there.

i sometimes read the wrappers and some of the stamps on the boxes :laughing9:

Good Job on all that silver! especially in just a month. I saw that there was a 68 proof, is it just me, or is the 76 proof on the left silver as well? It kinda looks like it in the pictures.

When you folks say a "box", how many coins does one consist of?

Actually I found 2 40% Bicentennials in Dec. one appears to be proof the other just a 40%'r
Also managed to find 2 68 proofs as well

A box of half dollars contains 1000 coins or $500 worth
