Had some spare time this afternoon, so stopped by 3 banks.

Got $16 in pennies, $20 in nickels, $160 in dimes, and one of the banks had $24 in halves in a loose envelope. All CWR.

Halves were really good:
3 1964
1 1967
1 1968D
1 1969D

In the dimes, got a 1952 FDR and a 1942 merc (those were from rolls at 2 different banks)

17 wheat cents (1% hit rate, which I think is good - pennies have been tough this year): 1919S, 1924, and a BU 1957 - rest were late 1930s-1950s.

Also got a Cuban 5c and a Canadian 5c

Eventually it will just as difficult to find Wheaties as it is to find silver, or buffs.

I wouldn't know about a slow down as I only started a year ago. Got off to a good start though. Bought a $10 box and they were all wheats. 42 of them were steel.

I would say definitely a dump from someone's collection, can't find steelies in the wild ( not in those quantities), congrats on a great start, BUT, Now You Are Hooked.

Definitely a collection, I've only found 3 steel in 1.2 million cents searched

About the only way I find "steelies" now a days is off the magnet on coin counting machines, that is if I am there when bags are changed or unjammed.
