decent last couple days- a '63 proof, 70d, 70s and two '76 40% and more
Yesterday(Thursday) I had to go see someone about 30 miles from home. After I was done I decided to hit a few banks I hadn't done since springtime. A few didn't have anything, one had $20 spread among several tellers. among the first 2.50 loose was two 40%. Another bank had 10 bucks worth in an envelope. She took the coin out to confirm count and I heard a couple silvers. 2 more 40% there.
While I was dumping $49 at a TD Penny Arcade I heard something in the machine. When theguy was done changing the bags, I mentioned it to him and when he opened the machine I got 2 Ikes.
A BOA gave up $290 but had nothing in them.
At one bank the girl said I have 31, so I gave her $31, before I got outside I opened the envelope and found 31 coins! So I turned around and nicely said "did you mean $31 or 31 coins?" She gave me a blank look and then said "OH! 31 coins! You gave me $31!" we squared up and laughed a bit.
The best find was at a Select Bank. they gave me $95.50. I got out to the truck and picked one roll, saw it had several silvers and put it back so I could go home and open all of it with my GF.
Looking forward to finding a lot we dove in. Wouldn't you know it, I had picked the one roll out of 9 with silver. The had none.
But what a roll- 9 keepers. 4 40%, a 1963 Ben proof, two bicentennial 40%(my third and fourth), a 70D and a 70S(my second of each). see pic below
The total for the day was 5 90% and 21 40%.
Today(Friday) we went through four boxes. the first was the best. a walker, 3 bens, 3 64's and 10 40%.
The second box gave a Ben, a 64 and a 40%.
Three and four were skunks.
