Decorative Brass Field Finds Off Of What?

These pieces came from a home site in a field in West Central Indiana. The pieces measure
1 1/4 inches in height. The site dates from the early 1800's up until probably the late 1800's or early 1900's. Large cents and Unoin infantry buttons are also found at this site. Any thoughts on what these pieces came off of?

My first thought looking at them is Renaissance Fair earrings, or something like that, but I don't know. That loop seems pretty delicate for much other than jewelry.

Look like pressed copper plate, what does the reverse look like? Late 19th C?? Not seen anything quite like it, interested in the function as well?
