✅ SOLVED Decorative dagger / Letter opener

Has the word Spain on it in which the N is backwards. trying to get a date on it. 23 centimeters long missing the tip. the handguard is 7 centimeters, blunt edges. Any info would be appreciated.

i search with him he found it on a U.S Army base in bavaria Germany

wow i wouldn't have thought that the area he found it in is actually quite old and buildings been in ruin well since ww2. but base still has active population today so who knows.
