1st - Since this is your very first post - Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

2nd - I moved this request over to What Is It? for more exposure. I would suggest you post some pictures to help as well.

Is it me, or is that a typo on the front of the plate, using the possessive rather than plural form of Majesty?

I'll solve this one. Here's the original explanation in Dutch:

MAJESTY'S OF HOLLAND

And now the somewhat lacking Google translate version in the Queen's English:

MAJESTY'S OF HOLLAND

In the souvenir shop 't Paleisje, Paleisstraat 5 (left of the Palace on the DAM), Amsterdam (tel 020-6251410) you can buy 2 plates from the series Majesty's of Holland. Plate with diameter 15 cm. it costs EUR 6.78 and with 21 cm diameter. EUR 13.59. Souvenir Shop at Fun City, Nieuwendijk 108, Amsterdam, phone 020-6381433, you can plate with diameter 26 cm. Buy: the price here is EUR 22.67. The cover plates of Delftware, hand painted with pictures of Wilhelmina, Juliana, Beatrix and Alex / Maxima. Very worthwhile.

In other words, this plate was one of two that were sold at a specific souvenir shop; judging by the rest of the page I took this quote from, it's probably ~15 years old. That souvenir shop is actually still there and you can visit their website in English to buy whatever goods they are currently hawking. The second shop referenced may or may not still exist, but either way, at the listed address there is a souvenir shop with a different name than the one listed. Measuring the diameter of your plate should theoretically tell you which of the two stores it came from. Anyway, the plate you have caters to the club of individuals (of which you are now a member) who (oddly) collect memorabilia related to the Dutch royal family. If sold at the same price in today's money, the plate you have sold for between £5.80-19.41; in freedom money, that is $7.21-24.10.

Hope that helps.
