Demolished House Site Gives Up A Nice Key Fob.

Hibbard, Spencer, and Bartlett Company, well known in Chicago at the turn of the last century, so I have since read. The "State Street Bridge" address puts it sold or given away (some H.S.& B. fobs say "souvenir" on them) between 1903-1924. A nice old piece of hardware history. Apparently, "Our Very Best" would later morph into the "True Value" hardware line. I found it at a lot that once had a house on it next to a freeway offramp/ service station. Yep Evolution, it gave me a big bang and a solid 80 on the ATPro! I think it is a nickle plate over brass construction...

Hello Subterranean. That is a great find and agree that finding is the best part and researching is a close second. It is always great to put something in the pouch that you know will require some more "diggin'" when you get home.

Question: Why did you call it a key fob and not a watch fob?

Thanks C9, Now that I look at it, the rectangular hole at the top is for a small leather belt/buckle, so it can be attached to a pocket watch. Sub
