Dental Bridge Fragment Found Along Historic Route (Upstate NY)

I came across this piece of what appears to be a dental bridge earlier today, and I’m trying to learn more about it.

Location Context:​

This was found in Upstate New York, along what is known as a historic Native travel corridor / Great Council route between Binghamton and Utica. That added a layer of curiosity for me—unsure if it's purely modern or if there’s any chance it ties into older activity along that path.

Ew. Can you imagine smiling at a pretty girl, and rocking those choppers? Good eye saving that, I would have tossed that in the trash, never would have realized what it was.
