they were allowed to do This.

Detectives left a phone number on a note that read: "Thanks for the grow! You want them back? Call for the price."

Hey it's one way to catch the bad guys. They could have set up a long running sting operation and pulled in more people.

They get to use DUI checkpoints to stop every vehichle with out any probable cause and send out letters to people with arrest warrents telling them they won a tv and then arrest them when they come to pick it up. I guess it's legal but it sure seems pretty dishonest.
