detector choice please help!

i am considering a whites GMT, or the Minelab 705.
What detector would be better for small nuggets? Thanks

I've done the same research, and decided to go with the Nokta FoRs Gold. It's
set to arrive here on Monday.

Not sure I'm allowed to post the URL, but do a Google search for
"Steve's Guide to Gold Nugget Detectors". Steve Herschbach has
done extensive testing with all of the VLF detectors, and his reviews
will give you a good read on each of the detectors you're considering.

Be sure and check out a few of CG's video's on YouTube:

How about the Fisher Gold Bug II?

Go with the GMT way higher frequency better on small gold learning curve is very fast.

Tesoro Lobo Super Traq rocks for many years, but I always carry my GB2 also---John

The Nokta FORS Gold is at the top of my list and I have owned the Fisher Gold Bug II and Gold Bug Pro.

I've had a Fisher Gold Bug Pro, so the Nokta will be a new experience for me.

Neo: How well does the display show in the sunlight?

If the sun is directly on it I find it hard to see, it is a lot better with sun glasses on.

Both detectors and the other suggestions are all good ones. If you have narrowed the search down to just the GMT and the 705, I would probably lean towards the GMT - but that is just me. As you can see, you will get a ton of opinions and reasons for one device vs another. In the end, it is personal choice and the area you are searching. For VLF detectors, any of the above are satisfactory and you cannot go far wrong.

I'm with Dizzy and Neo, I would consider the Fors CoRe. Many good reviews on it...
