So those little custom batteries in the coil go bad eventually. What I am wondering is could it be modded to use a more standard battery like an 18650 (would last much longer on a charge too)? It wouldn't fit in the standard spot but could maybe be relocated on the top of the coil somewhere. I just wonder since the battery is metal is it going to affect the performance and cause false readings? The original battery has metal in it too so that could affect it as well I would think. I am not sure about the characteristics of how this works as far as interference and location.
